Cathedral of Palermo, Palermo

This cathedral was started in 1184 to replace the Muslim mosque with a Christian church, which contains the Royal and Imperial tombs of the patron Saint of Palermo, plus a treasury of precious Royal objects, holy vestments and chalices.
